Sapphic Desire Candle
Scented with coriander and rose, and sprinkled with violets and a rosebud, Sapphic Desire is intended to empower the romantic and sexual love between those who identify as women with other women. Women's sexuality are often made subservient to male desires and functions and even same sex love between women has been treated as a commodity for male consumption. Coriander and Rose is used to heal and bring peace to the lives of women who love women as well as ignite passion and intimacy under protection by the two plants. Violets were said to have been worn by women seeking to woo other women during the time of Sappho (though there are mixed opinions of the validity of this) and eventually to women in both England and Northeastern United States in the early 20th century.
